Primary Dataset
Oregon Treasures Act
Dataset Description
This dataset aggregates geospatial checkpoints across Oregon, specifically curated for photographic potential. It combines legislative boundaries (Oregon Treasures Act) with ecological data to provide a comprehensive guide for visual exploration.
Sensitivity & Risk
All locations are screened for ecological sensitivity. We omit specific coordinates for vulnerable species or sacred indigenous sites to preventing overcrowding and degradation.
Maintenance & Access
Data is verified quarterly against US Forest Service and State Park alerts. Access is provided via open API for non-commercial use.
Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge the precedent stewardship of the indigenous people of Oregon and honor their enduring connection to this land.
Changelog
Stewardship Commitment
This project is no longer a commercial entity. It is a labor of love that I cherish teaching and maintaining for my health, even though the costs outweigh the financial return.
